British University Vietnam (BUV) is the first and only international university in Vietnam to award direct degrees from the prestigious University of London and Staffordshire University. Founded as the result of successful cooperation between the government of Vietnam and the United Kingdom; BUV’s mission is to deliver, in Vietnam, certified British higher education degrees and the highest quality international learning environment possible; and to create graduates that represent a new generation of talented discoverers, explorers and creative thinkers educated, trained, and prepared to thrive in fields of work and life. 

In 2022, BUV was officially certified as the first university in Vietnam to be awarded a 5-star overall rating from QS, cementing its position as a pioneer in the higher education sector. Specifically, the university was awarded 5 stars on the following criteria: Teaching, Employability, Academic Development, Facilities, Social Responsibilities, and Inclusiveness. Furthermore, the Finance and Economics programme of BUV was also honoured to receive a 5-star validation from QS for the criterium of Programme Strength. In addition, BUV has officially become the first and only university in Vietnam awarded QAA university-wide accreditation.
